SEMA 2010 Recap

The annual SEMA automotive industry tradeshow has come to a close and the ID Agency was busy the entire event week and weekend in Las Vegas. The Project Lincoln MKX that the ID Agency built with designer, James Bond of Undefeated made its official debut within the Ford / Lincoln booth. The MKX was the only Lincoln in the booth and received much attention and compliments from industry insiders. Introducing James Bond into the automotive design world a few select interviews were coordinated to give his insight on the project. The MKX also participated in the Targa Trophy Road Rally following SEMA in Las Vegas. More is planned for the project vehicle including a few videos that are yet to be released.

ID client Forza Motorsport activated throughout the event week. With a strategic marketing plan in place Forza Motorsport teamed with CEC wheels to showcase the game with a gaming station within their booth, while industry guests were invited to play the new Lexus LFA and see it in person within the booth. Additional activation included sponsorship of the 0-60 magazine event at HAZE within the new ARIA Resort & Casino, sponsorship of the Targa Trophy, and select seeding of FM3 decals on show vehicles throughout the SEMA show.

Formula DRIFT held their annual press conference and ID invited key industry and media personnel to hear and see the news for the new season. Major announcements included international events, co-branded merchandise, and a preview of the 3D DirecTV program that will be aired soon.

Brembo Brakes showcased their new line of GT-R brake systems within their booth. The ID Agency helped bring media attention to the booth and new product line as well as bring key influencers to see the brake systems firsthand. ID also selected key show builders to partner with on their project vehicles throughout the show.

With an entry into the "Best of the Best" Scion Tuner Challenge to introduce the all new 2011 Scion TC, John Pangilinan showcased his Scion TC GT race inspired vehicle. ID clients Brembo and Recaro were represented on the build along with other key companies and brands including Alpinestars, Seibon, and more. The vehicle received praise from industry members and media and will be touring with Scion to select auto shows and will be used for marketing initiatives for the next couple years.

The Targa Trophy lifestyle road rally held their finale event following the convention. ARIA Resort & Casino hosted the event with over 50 participating vehicles that consisted of luxury, exotics, and sports cars. ID helped bring in key partners and media members for the rally as well as participate with the Project Lincoln MKX, coming in 10th place on the rally. ID also helped provide photography on the rally and will be seeding select media outlets with the images.
