Pirelli Kicks Off The Return Of F1 At United States GP

After a five-year absence from the United States, Formula One racing made its triumphant return stateside by way of Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas for the second-to-last race of the 2012 season. The ID Agency was on hand to help client, and official Formula One tire supplier Pirelli, ring in the weekend of festivities with lifestyle and trade media attendees.

Prior to the race weekend in Austin, Pirelli hosted a dealer convention in San Antonio to discuss 2013 planning and initiatives. The condensed schedule included presentations from NAFTA Chairman and CEO Paolo Ferrari (pictured), amongst other top level executives. For more on Pirelli's "Texas-sized ambitions," see Jeff Yip's article on Tire Business. Following the presentations, dealers were invited to Austin's Driveway track for a series of demos featuring the latest addition to Pirelli's Cinturato family: the Cinturato P7 All-Season Plus.

Action cumulated Sunday with the U.S. Grand Prix and Pirelli's official announcement that it would be resigning marketing partners Chip Foose and Ken Block. The ID Agency will be working closely with Pirelli as the 2013 calendar of events unfolds and these two automotive giants gets added to the mix. Look out for an exciting year from Pirelli as they take aim to "think big" with "no compromises."
