2013 RECARO LA Auto Show Event Recap

On November 20th, the ID Agency held a reception for RECARO Automotive on the first night of the Los Angeles Auto Show. The objective was to invite enthusiast and mainstream media, OEM representatives, tuning shops, aftermarket suppliers, and automotive partners to meet the RECARO team. Markus Kussmaul, the Vice President of North and South America, attended and gave a short speech highlighting RECARO’s success and future plans for expansion in North America.

RECARO wanted to highlight its OEM program specifically in the United States along with its aftermarket program featuring selection of project cars that came straight from SEMA. McLaren Automotive came on board as title sponsor of the event as the new 12c is factory equipped with RECARO seats and they supplied us with 3 of these beautiful Supercars to add to the mix.

The ID team worked on getting some very notable cars to the event including Ken Block’s Ford TrackSTar, Vaughn Gittin Jr’s RTR Mustang, Mister Cartoon’s Special Edition Camaro, Bulletproof Automotive SCION FR-S, LTMW BMW M3 with Liberty Walk kit, LTMW Subaru BRZ, John Pangilinan’s Hyundai Genesis, Modified Magazines Chevy Sonic, D3′s modified CTS-V, HG Motorsports Mercedes-Benz CLA250, GI Motorsports AMG Black Series and a Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST plus a Camaro ZL1 with RECARO factory option seats that were supplied directly from the manufacturers.

The reception had a fantastic turnout in spite of the rain and several other competing auto show parties and receptions nearby. Notable attendees include world renowned drivers Tanner Foust, Bucky Lasek, Daijiro Yoshihara and Tommy Kendall plus pro athletes CJ Wilson and Sal Barbier.

We want to give a big thanks to our sponsors for this event including McLaren North America, The Auto Gallery, Icelandic Glacial and Red Bull for their generous support.
