WORLD SUPERBIKE WEEKEND, LAGUNA SECA
This weekend was a busy time for the ID Agency staff, with activities on behalf of our clients Kawasaki and Pirelli.
The World Superbike Championship made a welcome return to Laguna Seca after a few years at Miller Motorsport Park in Utah. Cool, sunny weather greeted the teams, making it a perfect California weekend.
The ID team was involved in two major events for Kawasaki. The first involved the US unveiling of the 2015 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R 30th Edition. Our team had helped with the presentation and compilation of the media press kit.
The Friday launch went without a hitch, and the motorcycle was extremely well received by both the media and interested spectators who had joined the audience in the paddock area at Laguna Seca.
The second Kawasaki event was Ninja Nights – a gathering of Kawasaki owners alongside the company’s main exhibition area. The ID team helped initiate the online voting process and sourced items like the tent for the chill-out area, creating a place for weary race fans to relax and watch some Kawasaki footage on the large TV.
This is the first year Ninja Nights has taken place at the racetrack and everybody enjoyed the atmosphere. There were also lots of raffle and trivia prizes handed out throughout the night, including items from ID Agency clients such as Pirelli and Olloclip.
On behalf of Kawasaki and Pirelli, ID Agency also hosted top-tier media guests from Wired and Fast Company, ensuring they had access to the leading teams and race personnel in order to complete their assignments.
With reigning World Champion and Kawasaki works rider, Tom Sykes, winning Superpole and one of the weekend’s two races on his Pirelli tires, Laguna Seca was a great result for everybody involved.
