Kawasaki KX250F and KX450F Media Event
July 1 and 2 saw the official media launch of Kawasaki’s premier motocross motorcycles at Milestone MX park near Riverside, CA.
Invited guests included all the major dirt bike publications and websites, as well as a number of lifestyle titles and VIP guests.
The MX park has a number of tracks, and riders were given access to two of them, including the main arena and a veteran track with slightly less demanding jumps and turns.
Kawasaki brought its full support team and rig, providing technicians dedicated to each publication to ensure riders could tailor the bike to their needs.
As part of the involvement of ID Agency, we provided video footage from a remote control drone, capturing some astonishing video from the flying motocross bikes. We also outfitted several riders with GoPro cameras to again capture the action for many of the attendees.
We created a cool-down zone in the paddock area, primarily to escape the 100-deg heat thanks to welcome shade and some industrial-sized fans. Visitors were able to relax in between sessions or enjoy the three meals provided during the day.
Several invited guests had never ridden a motorcycle before, but clothed in Kawasaki’s protective gear, and with expert instruction from the wealth of riding knowledge on-hand, we had each of them tackling the jumps within an hour or so. Most of them were catching air over the jumps and their broad smiles told the story.
With the embargo lifted after the first day, the media was busy on social media during the event and many publications had posted videos one day later in a bid to beat their competitors to the punch.
